Community Guidelines

SareeLadies is a community built on trust, respect, and a shared love of ethnic wear. These guidelines help keep our marketplace safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
1. Be Respectful
- Treat every member with courtesy and kindness.
- No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
- Communicate politely in messages and negotiations — remember there's a real person on the other side.
- Respect others' time. If you're no longer interested in a listing, let the seller know.
2. Be Honest
- Accurate descriptions: Describe your items truthfully, including any defects, stains, or alterations.
- Real photos: Use photos of the actual item you're selling — no stock images or photos from other sellers.
- Fair pricing: Price your items honestly. Don't mislead buyers with bait-and-switch tactics.
- Authentic items only: Never list counterfeit or knock-off items as genuine branded products.
3. What You Can List
SareeLadies is specifically for ethnic wear and related accessories:
- Sarees, churidhars, salwar kameez, lehengas, blouses, dupattas
- Kurtas, sherwanis, dhotis, and other ethnic menswear
- Kids' ethnic wear (lehengas, kurtas, etc.)
- Ethnic accessories that complement outfits (jewelry, bindis, etc.)
4. What You Cannot List
- Non-clothing items unrelated to ethnic wear
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Damaged items presented as being in good condition
- Undergarments or intimate apparel
- Items that promote violence, hate, or illegal activity
- Any item you don't have the legal right to sell
5. Photos and Content
- Upload clear, well-lit photos that accurately show the item.
- Do not include inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content in photos or descriptions.
- Do not use photos or content that belongs to someone else without permission.
- Listings should be in English or include an English translation.
6. Safe Transactions
- Use the in-app chat for all communications so there's a record of your conversations.
- For in-person meet-ups, choose a safe, public location.
- Never share sensitive personal information (bank details, social security numbers, etc.) through the App.
- If a deal seems too good to be true, proceed with caution.
7. Rentals
- Clearly state the rental period, price, and deposit requirements.
- Describe the expected condition for returns.
- Both parties should agree on terms before the rental begins.
- Return rented items on time and in the agreed-upon condition.
8. Reporting and Enforcement
If you encounter a listing or user that violates these guidelines, please report them using the report button in the App. Our team reviews all reports and may take the following actions:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations.
- Listing removal: For listings that violate our guidelines.
- Temporary suspension: For repeated or serious violations.
- Permanent ban: For severe violations including fraud, harassment, or illegal activity.
9. Protect Your Account
- Use a strong, unique password for your SareeLadies account.
- Don't share your login credentials with anyone.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact support.
